The Power Platform Classmates event series formed during Covid-19 as an online initiative, but the team, led by independent Microsoft community experts, is now preparing to host its third event as a hybrid in-person and virtual conference spanning locations in Asia, Australia, and Europe. The event, focused on Power Platform technology, runs on July 21 and 22 and features Microsoft MVPs and other experts from around the world. Registration is open now.

MSDW spoke with Goloknath Mishra, an MVP and co-host of the event, who works with NCS Group as Senior IT Architect. The event, he explained, "is a combination of Microsoft MVPs and Microsoft itself where you will learn from your fellow classmates.”

Power Platform Classmates started with a group of MVPs meeting virtually in 2021 and convened virtually again in 2022. With this year's in-person plans, attendees will have a chance to join the event at the Microsoft office in Sydney, Australia as well as a Singapore site. The Asia-Pacific events in these locales will allow attendance both in-person and online, whereas events in India and the Netherlands will be entirely virtual.

Details of the event plans can be found in the group's GitHub repository. The event will feature Microsoft keynotes from principal program manager Heather Cook, Power Platform APAC lead Amanda Del Carmen, and senior engineering manager lead Pujarini Mohapatra. The rest of the day will feature sessions from MVPs and other experts on topics ranging from the impact of AI to sale order automation to the evolving role of citizen developers. This year, sessions will be themed so that some have a technology focus and others are more accessible to low-code developers and business users, Goloknath added.

In sessions, mostly people will be asking about Power BI, Power Virtual Agents, CRM Sales, Marketing, and Field Service. We added one session for Ask us Anything. In that, we will open up to many questions. Those who want can ask us questions based on past problems or anything they are facing.
