Microsoft partners focused on Dynamics 365 ERP, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, Project Operations, Commerce, Field Service, Human Resources, and Sustainability have always faced unique challenges, but today’s enterprise ERP outlook is unlike any they have seen before.

In just the last month, Microsoft has updated its own product outlook. The increasingly agent-focused ERP roadmap aims to apply AI across all business processes, most traditional areas of user interaction, and even areas like solution configuration and deployment. More broadly, the company is launching AI-focused app development with Fabric, Scout, Cowork, and much more.

In that environment, the launch of a new conference, Directions for Enterprise 2026, taking place from September 23 to 25 in Copenhagen, offers F&SCM partners a chance to come together and reconnect with Microsoft leaders for the latest product and channel guidance. (“Dynamics 365 ERP” is now Microsoft’s preferred way to refer to the enterprise ERP application suite.)

Early in the planning for Directions for Enterprise 2026, Torben Kragelund of Direction for Partners suspected the event might attract a mostly local audience. But early signups have been global, he tells MSDW, with more than 200 out of about 450 tickets sold and most sponsorships already gone. Early bird ticket pricing is available until the end of June.

“We are seeing people from all over the world,” Torben told MSDW. “We already have people from Australia, Canada, South Africa, North America, the Middle East, and of course, the European countries that have signed up.”

Much like other Directions for Partners events, Directions for Enterprise will remain carefully focused on the Dynamics 365 ERP solutions and on the needs of partners. Agentic ERP themes will permeate the inaugural event, Torben expects. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of AI on the full ERP lifecycle, from vision to implementation to product roadmaps.

One of the external factors is what partners are selling, and how do you sell it? How do you deliver it in the future? How do you deliver an agent? So, I think that there are a lot of questions, probably more questions than answers on how to develop that part of the business. And then also on the internal processes in a partner business, how do they utilize AI in development, in requirements gathering, project planning, maybe even quoting and other areas? And how do they use it in their own marketing department to be more efficient internally?

Directions for Enterprise will also offer partners lots of Microsoft participation, including members of the Dynamics 365 ERP product teams and the channel organization. Microsoft is actively working to engage with F&SCM partners, says Torben, and over half of the sessions will be presented by Microsoft experts and leaders. The event has already announced a strong lineup of confirmed speakers from Microsoft and across the Dynamics partner ecosystem.

The positive early response to the September event demonstrates that in-person connection is still important for Dynamics 365 ERP professionals. “People still want to meet face-to-face and create real connections," Torben added.
