Data8 Launches App to Speed Up Sales Quotes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Data8 Ltd has designed an application that will speed up the time it takes to prepare sales quotes in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Currently, it can take up to 12 steps to go from seeing a quote on the screen to seeing it in Microsoft Word. The company says their new application only takes three steps.

"At data8 we are always looking for ways of improving the efficacy of CRM systems," said Mark Carrington, chief technologist at data8 Ltd. "The quote system is one process we identified as based around the technical steps of how the process is implemented and not the business processes the user is working with."

Carrington said data8 developed a more efficient process that enables allows the user to go straight from the quote screen to the finished document in Word.

Customers access data8's software-as-a-service cloud-based application to complete online data cleansing. The application is backed by a bureau service and an integration package which that lets companies quickly validate their data, according to the company.

The new application, which is available for Dynamics CRM 2011 On-Premise only, is currently available on request, according to the company. It is not currently packaged as a solution ready to be installed, but it should be available as such in the coming month.

The cost of the application is $50 per user (minimum 10 users); site license pricing is available on request.
