CMS vendor Forrit announces new directors, including present and past Microsoft execs

Edinburgh-based content management platform vendor Forrit has added two Microsoft executives to their board of directors.

Steven Guggenheimer, corporate vice president of AI & ISV engagement at Microsoft has joined Forrit's board. Other new board members include former Microsoft CVP Austen Mulinder and Trustpilot chief legal and policy officer Carolyn Jameson.

Guggenheimer, who most recently took the lead on establishing Microsoft's ISV Connect program also took a seat on the board of HSBC Holdings board in May. Guggenheimer recently announced his plans to retire from Microsoft later in 2020.

“We are moving rapidly from a technology services company to a cloud-first global software business” said Forrit CEO and founder Peter Proud in a statement.

Forrit are a Microsoft Gold partner. They recently rebranded from the company’s previous name Cortex Worldwide. The company was founded in 2014 and secured a management buyout from WPP plc in 2017.

The firm is also a Microsoft gold-level partner, with its products built atop Azure. And they count Microsoft Education as a client.
