Bangladesh University to Use Microsoft Dynamics NAV As an ERP Teaching Tool

Admiral IT LLC, a Danish software company based in Bangladesh that develops solutions under the Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform, and the American International University in Bangladesh (AIUB) have joined forces to create a program to train students in Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

The first training program, which took place over the summer, consisted of existing Admiral IT and ICT Alliance employees as well as selected students and faculty of the university. The training program covered the essential parts of operating Microsoft Dynamics SureStep, specialized methodology used by Microsoft Dynamics project managers. After a two days of training on Microsoft Dynamics SureStep, the students were introduced to Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

"The program will be ongoing and we are now discussing having it integrated with the university's curriculum so that by the time students graduate they already have knowledge in ERP and project management," said Ed Alcanzare, Head of Marketing of Admiral IT and an Executive MBA student at AIUB, which is an educational institution certified by Microsoft.

Alcanzare said his company sees great potential in developing students from AIUB because they're committed toward technological advancement in their educational system.

"Through the support of the Danida B2B program and the Danish embassy, we are able to create a step in leading towards ‘Digital Bangladesh,'" he said.

The overall objective of the Danida B2B Program in Bangladesh is to contribute to the economic and social development of Bangladesh by attracting Danish technology and investment to the country's private sector.
