Azure Review: Kuwait airport; Spotting malnutrition; Vulnerability bounties; Resource GUIDs; DevOps and Cognitive Services

While much of the world felt the sting of winter cold, demand was heating up for Microsoft Azure at Kuwait International Airport. The country's Directorate General of Civil Aviation is adopting Azure in a bid to digitally transform its operations. The airport—which receives 13.7 million passengers a year—needed to better manage and analyze customer data. Three thousand field workers at the airport are being migrated to Office 365 and the Directorate intends to roll out Azure Machine Learning to automate decision-making.

Meanwhile, in India, the German non-profit Welthungerhilfe (translated as "World Famine Relief") is launching an AI mobile app on Azure. The Child Growth Monitor app can help detect malnutrition and is expected to help scan up 10,000 children under the age of five for signs of malnutrition in March.
