Siemens shares details about generative AI initiatives with Microsoft

Siemens announced that it is working with Microsoft to integrate its Siemens Teamcenter software for product lifecycle management. Going forward, Teamcenter capabilities will be integrated with Teams and Azure OpenAI Service, to parse speech data, create summarized reports, and support frontline workers.

Siemens shared the news at the annual Hannover Messe trade show in Hannover, Germany. The companies are demonstrating how ChatGPT can speed up code generation for Programmable Logic Controllers in industrial settings.

"Powerful, advanced artificial intelligence is emerging as one of the most important technologies for digital transformation. Siemens and Microsoft are coming together to deploy tools like ChatGPT so we can empower workers at enterprises of all sizes to collaborate and innovate in new ways,” stated Cedrik Neike, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG and CEO Digital Industries.

Cohesity boosts ransomware initiatives

Cohesity, a California-based data security company announced that it is expanding its partnership with Microsoft to better protect its enterprise customers from ransomware and other cyber threats.
