Enveda Biosciences to offer foundation model for chemistry
Enveda Biosciences, a Boulder, Colorado-based biotech company, announced that it plans to use AI to “read and translate” chemistry with a new foundation model. The company focuses on natural drug development and plans to use Microsoft Azure to scale its generative AI models, including its new PRISM model.
Currently, the company states that it has the largest collection of experimental mass spectrometry data in the world. The new PRISM foundation model is an acronym for Pretrained Representations Informed by Spectral Masking. Developed using Azure, it is intended to enhance small molecule analysis based on Enveda’s mass spectrometry data.
“Given their leadership in advancing and implementing AI across industries, we are thrilled to collaborate with Microsoft. We believe this relationship and our new foundation model will further accelerate our ability to find powerful new medicines from natural sources,” stated Viswa Colluru, Ph.D., CEO and Founder of Enveda.
Truecaller partners with Microsoft on AI voice analysis
Truecaller, a Washington-based technology company, announced a partnership with Microsoft to use Personal Voice capabilities from Azure AI Speech. Truecaller previously launched its AI Assistant in 2022 with integrated AI capabilities to support screening for calls and automated answering. Now, with the addition of Azure, Truecaller intends to provide customers the ability to have a digital version of their voice answer calls.
