Azure Blobs adds operational backup

Microsoft has added operational backup to Azure Blobs, which is now generally available.

Backup data is stored locally in a source group storage account, according to Microsoft.  It can be recovered for a particular point in time. The offering integrates with Azure Backup management tools like Backup Center. The expanded set of capabilities includes options to configure and manage operational backup for blobs with the 'Data protection' view for storage accounts or with PowerShell.
