Avalara acquires CrowdReason for property tax compliance management

Tax compliance automation software firm Avalara announced it has acquired CrowdReason, makers of SaaS property tax compliance applications.

The acquisition improves Avalara's capabilities in the areas of document management, tax content (the company has content from more than 20,000 property tax assessors and collectors), and management of ongoing property tax return requirements, according to the company.
