New e-books detail post-pandemic technology strategies for manufacturers and distributors
CHICAGO — September 16, 2021 — Two new e-books, authored by Sikich technology experts, offer key insights for manufacturing and distribution executives to more efficiently implement technology solutions and modernize supply chain strategies in a post-pandemic world.
In “What’s Next for Distribution Management: 7 Key Areas for Modernizing Distribution,” authors Jeremy Centner and Jon Byrd describe how businesses can modernize their distribution management, including how to:
- Ensure the right inventory levels
- Work more effectively with vendors
- Manage and track vendor quality
- Deliver great customer experiences
- Launch an ecommerce domain
- Demonstrate sustainability
- Ease compliance with regulations and business rules
“After years of experience working with distributors to improve their supply chain strategies, we are excited to share key learnings to help modernize distribution in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Centner. “This e-book will offer distribution executives insights and tools that allow them to transform their businesses and play a leading role in addressing supply chain challenges.”
In addition to the distribution-focused e-book, Sikich also published “Achieving Successful Microsoft Dynamics 365 Deployment While Saving Time and Money”, which outlines Sikich’s HEADSTART deployment approach. Described as a “game-changer” by Microsoft, HEADSTART streamlines D365 ERP and CRM implementations and supports the core processes of sales and order management, vendor management, warehousing, logistics, and finances.
The e-book is authored by Debbie Altham and Joan Bell, senior directors on Sikich’s technology team.
“Rather than starting from a blank slate, HEADSTART allows manufacturers and distributors to start with a preconfigured industry solution, based on best practices and our expertise, that provides revolutionary results,” said Altham. “With thousands of preset parameters for each of Sikich’s industry verticals and a 50% reduction in the time to go-live, HEADSTART maximizes investments, reduces project duration and cost, provides enhanced visibility and insights, streamlines process flow, and improves decision support.”
Sikich’s national technology consultancy helps companies across industries – including life sciences, finance, manufacturing, distribution, and professional services – improve productivity and performance with innovative digital strategies and technology solutions. Sikich is a leader in digital transformation, which includes cloud and emerging technologies, and has one of the deepest, most diverse solution portfolios in the middle market. Sikich’s solutions include business applications and workplace productivity, security and compliance, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and robotic process automation.
