Sabre Limited to Bring Manufacturing and Defence Supply Chain Experts Together in Mississauga

December 15 event will explore how AI, ERP, cybersecurity, and connected manufacturing technologies can help Canadian manufacturers prepare for defence supply chain opportunities.

CAMBRIDGE, Ontario, October 29, 2026 — Sabre Limited, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation partner specializing in manufacturing, will host From Factory Floor to Defence Supply Chain: AI, CAD, Cybersecurity, & ERP on December 15, 2026, at the Sandman Signature Mississauga Hotel in Mississauga, Ontario.

The one-day event will bring together Canadian manufacturers, Microsoft representatives, and industry technology experts to explore the systems, cybersecurity practices, and operational capabilities manufacturers need to compete in an increasingly technology-driven industry, including opportunities within Canada's defence supply chain.

Preparing Canadian Manufacturers for New Opportunities

For manufacturers considering opportunities in the defence industry, production capabilities are only part of the equation. Reliable business systems, accurate inventory records, production traceability, and cybersecurity readiness can also play important roles in meeting customer and contractual requirements.

At the same time, many small and midsize manufacturers are evaluating how artificial intelligence, automation, and connected systems can improve efficiency without adding unnecessary complexity.

Sabre Limited's event will give manufacturing leaders an opportunity to explore how these technologies can improve production visibility, strengthen operational control, and support future business opportunities.

The agenda will cover four key areas:

  • AI and Manufacturing Automation: How emerging technologies can reduce manual work, improve operational efficiency, and support better decision-making.
  • ERP and Connected Systems: How Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can connect production, inventory, and financial information to improve visibility and control.
  • Cybersecurity and CPCSC Readiness: What manufacturers should understand about protecting sensitive information and preparing for Canada's defence-related cybersecurity expectations.
  • Defence Supply Chain Opportunities: The operational and technology considerations manufacturers should evaluate when pursuing defence-related contracts.

Microsoft, Sabre Limited, and Industry Experts to Lead Sessions

The event will feature presentations and demonstrations from Microsoft, Sabre Limited, Sabre IT, and participating technology partners.

Jermaine Clark, Senior Digital Specialist at Microsoft, will deliver a keynote titled AI and the Future of Manufacturing, exploring developments in artificial intelligence, cloud technology, and their potential applications in manufacturing.

Robert Jolliffe, Founder of Sabre Limited, will lead two sessions focused on manufacturing technology. Connecting Your Factory Floor with Business Central will demonstrate how manufacturers can connect production, inventory, and financial processes. His second presentation, Using an ERP to Manage 3D Printing, will explore how ERP systems can support additive manufacturing operations.

Jeremy Kennedy, Director of IT at Sabre IT, will present Winning Defence Contracts: What Manufacturers Need to Know About CPCSC. The session will examine the Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification, information protection, and the cybersecurity considerations manufacturers should understand when evaluating defence industry opportunities.

Technology partner Insight Works will also participate, providing additional perspectives on manufacturing technology and connected business systems.

Connecting Manufacturing Technology with Business Readiness

ERP, cybersecurity, and AI are often discussed as separate business investments, but their value increasingly depends on how well they work together.

An ERP system can improve production and inventory visibility, cybersecurity practices help protect business information, and AI can support more efficient operations when reliable data is available.

By addressing these areas together, the event will help manufacturers understand how technology decisions can improve daily operations while supporting longer-term business goals.

The event is intended for manufacturing business owners, executives, plant managers, operations leaders, IT professionals, and supply chain decision-makers.
