How a Global Logistics Firm Stabilised Its Dynamics 365 Finance Rollout Before Going Multi-Entity

A global logistics business headquartered in Germany, managing 30 legal entities across multiple regions, had already deployed Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance through its internal team. Yet the implementation fell short on user adoption, configuration, and reporting — leaving finance teams without the visibility they needed and raising risk ahead of a wider multi-entity rollout.

Instead of replacing the system, the organisation partnered with Dynamics Square to make its existing investment perform. The strategy began by stabilising the UK entity: a properly configured, fully localised finance setup aligned with UK regulations, bank integration, stronger reporting, and hands-on training for six finance users across London, Aberdeen, and Middlesbrough, targeting a December 30, 2025 go-live.

To support scale, Dynamics Square built a Global Blueprint — a consistent "financial DNA" — plus a governance and rollout framework with localisation readiness for future US (Sales Tax, Nexus) and Indonesia (Faktur Pajak) operations.

The result: a stable, localised UK finance system, improved user confidence, better reporting, and reduced transition risk through parallel running. The lesson is clear — implementing an ERP is only half the journey; correct configuration, adoption, and business alignment determine success.
