Microsoft partner AllRize introduces AI agents for legal practice management

AllRize is betting that law firms are ready to let artificial intelligence handle some of their most routine and critical administrative tasks. The Fort Lauderdale-based legal practice management software company recently announced the addition of agentic AI capabilities into its practice management platform, aiming to transform the management of everything from client intake to billing.

Built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and hosted on Azure, AllRize's platform launched in 2024 and provides software modules for marketing, CRM, matter management, document management, and accounting. With the addition of agentic AI, the company envisions these modules will soon operate with greater autonomy, carrying out tasks across Microsoft applications that today are being done with significant hands-on effort.

Microsoft-first platform strategy

Erik Ruda, CEO of AllRize, built the company's AI agents exclusively on Microsoft's platform. It was a decision driven by technical compatibility and the strict requirements of the legal industry.

"Everything is on Microsoft’s platform. Our product is built on Microsoft 365, and it's on AppSource," he says. "So it really just made sense for us to leverage all of the Microsoft AI platform tools, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry. We're really experimenting with all of it."

The platform strategy offers different sophistication levels based on client needs, he told MSDW. 

"We have the out-of-the-box solution. And then we can also really customize it and fine-tune it using Azure AI Foundry for the larger firms that want to do more sophisticated [tasks]."
