Boost job automation in Business Central with maximum number of attempts
On the CloudFronts blog, Vaishnavi Joshi wrote that in Business Central, automation can save a lot of time by running scheduled jobs without having to do them manually.
She stated sometimes these jobs fail because of short-term issues, such as network problems or locked records. However, by setting the maximum number of attempts, the system will automatically try again, which helps reduce failures and makes the process more reliable.
In her blog post, Joshi discussed the steps to optimize job automation. She also offered these tips:
- Break jobs into smaller parts so they can retry faster.
- Don’t set too many retry attempts or it could slow down the system.
- Use retries along with good error handling in your code or process.

Writing on his blog on the Dynamics 365 Community Blog, Jun Wang noted that managing deliveries well is key to keeping customers happy and running operations smoothly.
