Dynamics 365 Business Central 2025 wave 1: Checking app compatibility with future versions directly in admin center

On his blog, Stefano Demiliani wrote that about a month before a major D365BC update, Microsoft automatically checks if your installed apps will work with the new version.

Demiliani stated that if the update includes changes to important features, such as data structure or code, that your apps rely on, Microsoft will send an alert about the issue.

He noted that until the 2024 Release Wave 2 (version 25), these alerts were only sent to email recipients and registered application insights resources for that specific D365BC environment.

However, Demiliani explained that beginning with the D365BC 2025 wave 1 update (version 26), you can now check app compatibility reports directly in the tenant's admin centers so you can plan for upcoming changes in advance and prevent upgrade failures.

In his blog post, Demiliani explained how to do that.

Page inspection: A powerful tool in Business Central

Writing on his blog, Saurav Dhyani stated that page inspection has been part of Business Central for a while, and Microsoft keeps improving it. The tool helps you see detailed information about the page you're working on. Using this feature, he explained, that you can spot bottlenecks, understand how data is organized, and involve the right people to fix issues quickly.
