The mysterious 'page summary provider' codeunit

On his blog, Stefano Demiliani explored the need to quickly get details about a page in D365BC, such as its name, type, caption, visible fields, or tooltips. D365BC has system tables with page details, but most of them are limited to on-premises environments and can't be used in SaaS.

He noted that some tables, such as the "page action" and "page control field" tables, work in SaaS but don't provide complete information.

To solve this issue, D365BC quietly added a codeunit called page summary provider that lets you access a summary of page details by using API calls to fetch page metadata. In his blog post, Demiliani explained what this codeunit is and how it works.

Unlocking the power of non-inventory items

On the Logan Consulting blog, Page Wildridge wrote that in today's fast-paced business world, it's important to keep everything running smoothly.
