On his blog, Matt Collins-Jones wrote that his passion for automation and efficiency has been a driving force in his career.  For instance, he noted that he routinely opens a specific set of applications each day and configures them to his preferences.

Collins-Jones stated that although he tried to set applications to launch at startup, his company's restrictions often block this. So to work around it, he stated that he uses multiple Chrome profiles, keeps a daily journal in OneNote, which he can't open automatically,  and uses a Stream Deck to launch apps.
