Simplified license assignment for Power Apps

On the Microsoft Power Apps blog, Amiya Patra wrote that beginning in December, Microsoft is rolling out a set of changes to make it easier for admins to manage license assignments for Power Apps per-user licenses.

Patra stated this new feature will automatically assign licenses to users when they're needed, meaning admins will no longer have to determine which users need Power Apps licenses. Patra noted that the feature, called License Auto-claim for Power Apps, allows admins to create a policy in the Microsoft 365 admin center directing Power Apps per-user licenses to be automatically assigned to unlicensed users when they first access a Power App that requires a premium license.

In his blog post, Patra provided some information about this new feature and explained its compatibility with the existing process for assigning licenses.

Building a flow to restore deleted Power Automate flows

On his Let's Power Automate blog, Tom Riha wrote that when he was editing the flow to replace one environment variable, something bad happened – the flow was gone.

Riha noted that Instead of the flow it took him tens of hours to create, he saw an error message – the flow doesn’t exist. And as expected, Riha panicked.

So he decided to write this blog post to help others in the same situation and to remind himself that there's no need to panic if a flow ever goes missing again.

In his blog post, Riha explained what happens to a deleted flow.

When you delete a flow, it isn’t lost forever. It’s only 'soft-deleted' and it stays in that state for 21 days. If you notice that a flow is missing in these 21 days, you can restore them. If it takes you longer you’re out of luck – the flow is gone forever.

Riha then provided instructions to help you find and restore deleted flows.
