Pin your user session to one specific AOS
Writing on his blog, Paul Heisterkamp noted that during one or more Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations implementation projects, you will be required to create a trace on an environment with more than one Application Object Server (AOS).
He noted that this isn't an issue when you want to create the trace for your user session; however, it is a problem when you want to create a trace of the session of another user. In this case, the issue is that the trace only records sessions from the AOS where your session is located.
In his blog post, Heisterkamp explained the steps necessary to pin your user session to a specific AOS, such as the one where the user you want to record a trace for is located.
Automate ledger settlements in D365FO
On his blog, Saurabh Bharti stated that in Dynamics 365 Finance version 10.0.31, the automate ledger settlements process feature is available in the feature management workspace. He noted that you can enable the automate ledger settlements process feature only if you have enabled the awareness between the ledger settlement and the year-end close feature.
Bharti explained that ledger settlement is the process of matching debit and credit transactions in the general ledger. Now, organizations that perform ledger settlement activities on a recurring schedule can automate the process, he added. However, he stated that during the automatic ledger settlement process, a debit transaction and a credit transaction can only be automatically matched if their amounts in the accounting currency are equal. Bharti then explained how this works in D365FO.
