HDFC Bank announced a new partnership with Microsoft for digital transformation with Azure. HDFC is India’s largest private sector bank and the partnership is part of its Future Ready strategy to develop IP in-house and collaborate with fintech companies.

The bank will use a federated data lake to support advanced analytics and AI. HDFC hopes to “democratize and monetize” data with a unified architecture, collaborative engineering, and AI and ML deep learning.

Additionally, HDFC plans to adopt Microsoft 365 and Power Platform to create an App Innovation and Automation Factory.

“We are delighted to be part of HDFC Bank’s digital transformation journey and to partner with them to create best-in-class products and services. These products and services will adhere to strict security and compliance standards for customers by leveraging Microsoft Cloud Platform and technologies. The partnership will also advance the bank’s digital workplace transformation with Microsoft 365 and will significantly enhance customer and employee experience,” stated Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director Microsoft India.
