Microsoft previews process mining in Power Automate based on Minit

New process mining capabilities for Microsoft Power Automate are now in preview, the company announced this week. The new capabilities come from Minit, the specialist firm Microsoft acquired in March 2022, and they will go beyond what Power Automate's existing process advisor can offer.
"In this update, the process advisor powered with Minit introduces templates that enable customers to seamlessly drive powerful business process insights from cloud flows in Power Automate as well as insights from Microsoft Power Virtual Agents and other systems of records like SAP," wrote Power Automate GM for process mining Justin Graham.
Process advisor is licensed as part of Power Automate per-user licenses.
When Microsoft acquired Minit, the firm could analyze process data from enterprise systems and provide services like AI-Powered Root Cause Analysis, Simulations, and Hierarchical Process Mining. It also ran a simulation engine on Microsoft Azure.
Microsoft will offer out-of-the-box templates for process mining focused on use cases including procure to pay, order to cash, and accounts payable, Graham wrote.
