Azure Updates: SAP on VMs; PowerShell; Security Center; Cloud for Healthcare

Microsoft shares Azure updates around SAP on VMs, PowerShell and Azure Migrate, Security Center changes, Cloud for Healthcare and more.

Azure Compute principal program manager Brenda Bell shared a new way to reduce costs with memory-optimized Azure VMs certified for SAP HANA. Back in June, Microsoft announced general availability for general purpose and memory optimized VMs based on second generation Intel Xeon Cascade Lake. These VMs offer up to a 20 percent CPU performance improvement compared to their Ev3 and Dv3 VM predecessors. Microsoft is demonstrating D64ds_v4 VMs capable of up to 100,500 SAP sizing metrics, together with making new D-sv4 and E-sv4 VMs available on Dedicated Hosts.
