Halliburton announced a five year strategic partnership with Microsoft and Accenture to expand Halliburton's digital capabilities. As part of the agreement, Halliburton is migrating all of its physical data centers to Azure, together with business critical apps. Accenture—through its subsidiary Avanade—will provide a cloud migration framework for the shift.

"Moving to the cloud allows companies to create market-shaping customer offerings and drive tangible business outcomes. Through this alliance with Halliburton and Accenture, we will apply the power of the cloud to unlock digital capabilities that deliver benefits for Halliburton and its customers," stated Judson Althoff, executive vice president for Microsoft's Worldwide Commercial Business.
