Directions EMEA 2019 Day 2: The Dynamics 365 Business Central partner channel could double soon, Microsoft believes

Microsoft expects to see the partner channel for Dynamics 365 Business Central, which now has 1,400 companies, double in size as early as  the end of the year. That growth, presumably aimed at Microsoft's fiscal year ending in June, would support the company's plans to redouble its push for ERP marketshare among companies in the 10 to 99 employee segment.

Addressing Dynamics partners at Directions EMEA 2019, Microsoft One Commercial Partner ecosystem lead for business applications Cecilia Flombaum reiterated the company's optimism about the product's performance so far, noting the over 4,000 Business Central deployments.

"You are the envy of the tech industry, I couldn’t be more proud," she told the attendees. "This business grows, performs, and evolves because of you."

Flombaum pointed to areas of encouragement in the Business Central customer base, like the fact that Business Central customers are adding users and workloads above their original purchases; revenue per partner has doubled year over year; and thousands of people in the channel have been trained.
