User Group Summit North America 2019 Preview: One Dynamics GP user's journey from student to teacher

In just a few weeks, Microsoft Dynamics GP users from across the continent will converge for User Group Summit North America, October 15-18 in Orlando, Florida. Jason Zonts, business applications manager for Orlando-based OneBlood Inc., spoke with MSDW about the upcoming event, his organization's use of Microsoft Dynamics GP, and his role leading the Orlando chapter of GPUG.
There's no place like home
Zonts is particularly excited that this year's Summit event will take place right up the road on "home turf" in Orlando for his organization, a nonprofit that provides blood to over 200 hospitals.
It's local and we know the whole area. We are the host chapter and we'll be putting out blogs on how to maximize your time here in Orlando. And a lot of us got together and figured out, 'Here are the things we wish you would have known going to a Summit.'
The 2019 event marks his fifth Summit and it will be the first at which he plans to deliver a session.
I’m actually teaching versus just learning and that’s exciting. Running a chapter or co-hosting a chapter has kind of spotlighted some of the needs that we have as end users. In the past, I sat there and absorbed all this information [at past Summits], and now I felt that I needed to give back.
