Nine-time MVP Andrew Butenko makes customers' dreams come true

As a senior consultant at Hitachi Solutions America Ltd, nine-time MVP Andrew Butenko's duties mainly consist of implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement and making his customers' dreams come true.

"I do whatever is needed depending on the project," he says. "I have experience working with many technologies, such as .NET, JavaScript, reporting, integrations. Everything depends on the customer."

Butenko says he does whatever customers need to be happy and successful in the usage of their systems, including writing code, building integrations, prototyping, demonstrating functionalities to customers, and getting feedback from them.

Butenko first started working for Hitachi remotely from Ukraine in April, 2015. Then in April, 2017, he relocated to South Carolina to work for the company onsite. His introduction to Dynamics CRM began some nine years earlier.

From .NET and C# dev to CRM consultant

Before Butenko began working on Dynamics CRM projects, he was working as a .NET and C# developer for an international company based in Ukraine. Then a former colleague told him that S&T Ukraine, the company where he was working, was starting its own internal CRM practice.

"This was a systems integrator and he was the first person in the department and he asked me if I wanted to join," he says. "He told me there was great potential behind Dynamics CRM. So I decided to try it and that's how I became a CRM consultant. That happened in 2008, so I've been with Dynamics for 10 years now."
