Microsoft to give Dynamics 365 for Financials the "full NAV" treatment
Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials was launched in North America with a subset of Dynamics NAV's capabilities and an acknowledgment that the SaaS solution would expand to offer more NAV features. At the inaugural Directions Asia event today, Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 for Financials (D365F) will be adopting "full NAV" functionality and expanding to more countries.

Microsoft has always been clear that D365F was based on the NAV codebase. The new statement appears to broaden the planned overlap between the products, giving the SaaS solution capabilities that more closely mimic NAV with a SaaS deployment model and pricing.
Other slides shared at the event suggest that even if D365F becomes the de facto SaaS option for NAV, it will retain its lower pricing, starting at US $40 per user per month as a standalone app or $50 for a plan that includes CRM capabilities.
