Global Software has acquired Globe Software. Globe is best known in the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP space for its Excel-based reporting software Atlas.

Global is a portfolio company of St. Louis-based Thompson Street Capital Partners and provides Excel-based automation and reporting solutions for ERP and BI platforms.

While Global integrates with 60 different ERP and financial systems, the acquisition of Atlas gives Global a much stronger foothold in the Microsoft Dynamics ERP space. Global's other flagship offering is Spreadsheet Server. The company now claims 4,500 customers in 60 countries.

"The highly complementary acquisition of Atlas will expand the range of customers and ERPs  that Global Software can reach, including in key international markets," said TSCP managing parter Jim cooper in a statement.

The acquisition is the second of a Dynamics-focused ISV in the BI and reporting segment in the last month. BI vendor TARGIT was purchased by Denmark-based GRO Capital in early February.
