On the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Terry Heley wrote a detailed post about the ins and outs of how the SUTA (State Unemployment Tax Authority) calculates.

In her post, Heley noted that even though a FUTA (Federal Unemployment Tax Act) report was right on the money, the SUTA could still be wrong.

That's because FUTA and SUTA are completely different reports and code bases in Microsoft Dynamics GP. Even though users think they're the same, they're really not, she stated.

SUTA will calculate and sort data differently, SUTA has multiple states where FUTA does not, I could go on and on, you get my drift.
