Importing and Exporting Data from Many to Many Relationships in CRM

On the Webfortis blog, Jason Sanborn explained that data migration and integration is often best handled with a tool like Scribe. But what if there are situations where Scribe might not be available and data has to be moved from one environment to another?

Not to worry, because the import/export tool inside the CRM can handle simple imports and exports, he said. However, it won't bring over the data from a many-to-many relationship, added. So what to do?

Well, if you're using CRM on-premise you could use SQL import and exporting to get the job done, he writes. But what if you're using CRM Online? In that case you don't have that access, Sanborn said. And this was the challenge he faced when moving data from a development staging sandbox into a QA staging sandbox.
