Microsoft Dynamics Partners Await Details on Impact of the Master VAR Program

Microsoft will launch the Master VAR program for Microsoft Dynamics channel partners in October. "Master VAR is a unique partnership model designed to strategically drive growth for resellers and Microsoft through effective intra-channel partnering," he said.
According to Machayya, a senior marketing manager at Microsoft, the company introduced the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) in response to the economy, customers buying behaviors, and disruptive innovation such as the cloud.
"All these changes have resulted in a high degree of uncertainty amongst partners and customers," he said.
Machayya said the MPN will be the foundation for the success of the company as well as of the partners during this time of tremendous change. He said the introduction of MPN will continued to roll out through January 2012 and beyond. Additionally, he reminded Microsoft Dynamics partners of the upcoming certification requirements they need to address by October 1, 2011.
Last year, partners expressed concern about what the changes in certification would mean to some partners.
They were worried the changes would mean the end of the small consulting firms with only three or four employee that don't have a lot sales but live off the services those sales generate.
