Who Loves NAV? New Suggestion Site Collects Hundreds of Dynamics NAV User, Partner Product Requests

When Greg Kaupp of ArcherPoint wanted to submit product enhancement ideas for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, he found the current options a little lacking. Microsoft Connect had too many forms to fill out, and the mixture of bugs and suggestions that floated around across over 60 products did not seem to be getting traction.

Kaupp, a managing partner at ArcherPoint,a Dynamics NAV and CRM solution provider, and a believer in crowdsourcing, embarked on creating a new tool to collect feedback that was simpler and more open to the broad community. That new tool took the form of ILoveNAV.com, a site for people to submit enhancements ideas and built on the UserVoice platform.

"Part of the reason for wanting to create a forum for crowd sourcing feedback outside of Microsoft Connect was to have something that we could more easily build community support around and that didn't get lost in the Microsoft maze...My feeling was that we would have a much better chance of getting traction with ilovenav.com than trying to direct people to the Microsoft site," says Kaupp.

ArcherPoint began promoting ILoveNAV at Convergence, and Kaupp says it had the intended effect. "I wasn't sure what kind of reaction we would get from Microsoft," he admits.  "I was pleasantly surprised that the Microsoft team really got behind the idea and was happy to wear I Love NAV buttons and I noticed some have even contributed comments and product suggestions."

ILoveNAV.com has used its open interface and approach to quickly accumulate over 200 suggestions since Convergence. Top vote getters include "...
