The 16 Least-Used Productivity Enhancers in Microsoft Dynamics GP

There are many features in Dynamics GP that for one reason or another don't get much attention in initial training.  And if they're not covered in initial training, chances are your users won't discover them on their own.  The following is a list of what I call The 16 Least-Used Productivity Enhancers in Dynamics GP'.  These features are very easy to learn and use and can have an immediate impact on a user's daily productivity. 

1.       Account Rollups - used to create summary inquiries on multiple contiguous and/or non-contiguous accounts

2.       National Accounts - used to create parent-child relationships between related-party customers to ease billing/collection/payment application

3.       Fixed Assets Mass Change - used to make changes to a user-defined group of fixed assets en masse

4.       Fixed Allocation - used to allocate revenue or expenses across two or more cost centers, for example -  based on Unit Account values

5.       Variable Allocation - used to allocate revenue or expenses across two or more costs centers, for example -  based on the relationship between values in other Posting and/or Unit Accounts

6.       Customer Items - used to establish a cross reference between your Item ID and your customers' Item IDs so your customers' Item IDs can be entered onto Quotes/Sales Orders/Invoices
