Human Resources Manager & Accounting Specialist (USA)
As an HR Manager & Accounting Specialist at Dynamicweb North America, you will play a dual role of managing all facets of the human resource department (70%) plus supporting the day-to-day operational responsibilities of the finance and accounting arm (30%) for a team size 30-35.
When wearing the hat of Human Resource Manager, you will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including talent search, onboarding, administering pay, benefits, offboarding, and performance reviews. You will have access to a dedicated Specialist team at Namely, an award-winning HR management solution we’ve engaged to facilitate all these functions as well as respond to required state and federal compliance requests. You will also coordinate the above for our independent contractors and vendor partners across the globe, with critical team members located in Portugal, Denmark and elsewhere. When wearing the hat of Accounting Specialist, you will provide support and perform a variety of tasks within the functional areas of accounting for roughly 40-50 clients and 10-15 vendors. You will maintain a specific and limited set of tasks around accounts receivable, accounts payable and asset management. You will work very closely with the CFO around the month-end process and assist with small ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Human Resource (HR) Responsibilities
- Manages and executes semi-monthly payroll and 401k batches and periodic workers compensation audits
- Provides support to employees on payroll, benefits, and questions arising from HR platform
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the human resource and talent strategy; current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Collaborates with Namely and compliance experts to provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues that may arise;
- Facilitates recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Facilitates the handling of incoming notices and requests from federal, state, and local employment agencies by working with Namely and Benefits Brokers.
Accounting Specialist (AS) Responsibilities
- Provide support for a few accounts receivable tasks like preparation of monthly statements, payment reminder triggers, monthly recurring invoices, and maintain customer records, including name, address changes, mailing attentions
- Provide support for a few accounts payable tasks like entering 8-10 invoices per month, initiating payment batches, check runs and wire payments for CFO/CEO approval
- Maintain company’s asset list, which consists mostly of computer and telephonic equipment distributed to employees in the course of employment
- Assist in limited capacity with month-end tasks like preparing payroll data for GL import, importing of employee reimbursement data from Expensify (cloud reimbursement tool) to Quickbooks and oversight/quality control audits of client invoice data to spot rate anomalies before invoices are issued.
- Work closely with the CFO to facilitate tasks prompted by compliance, audit, or financial statement requests.
- This position does not require cash management, reconciliation, accruals, GL maintenance, financial statement preparation or forecasting/budgeting, but does offer an opportunity for the right person to deepen their knowledge of all functional areas of accounting and finance for a privately-held SAAS organization.
Experience
- 6+ years of experience and/or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
- 3+ years of human resource management experience preferred
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in accounting, bookkeeping, treasury or related finance function preferred
- Basic knowledge and familiarity with HR and accounting solutions
