Craig Klapman is President of Mekorma, developer of the top-selling Mekorma MICR solution and Multi-Batch Management enhancement for Microsoft Dynamics GP. He enjoys empowering businesses, large and small, with automated, efficient and secure accounts payable management.
Founded in 1992, Mekorma is well-known for developing numerous tools for Dynamics GP and has built a solid reputation in the industry. Craig oversees a talented team that currently serves more than 5,600 clients worldwide, including numerous professional sports organizations, Angie's List, Better Homes and Gardens, Six Flags, Super 8 Hotels and more.
Craig started working at Mekorma in 1998 by chance. He earned his BA in Theatre at UCLA, was a teacher, owned a bookstore and had little interest in technology. In fact, it really frustrated him. Soon after he closed his book store, he received a call to see if he knew anyone to answer phones while the Mekorma offices moved locations. Since he was in between opportunities, he decided to take the job for just a couple of weeks.
Nearly two decades later, Craig has worn many hats at Mekorma. He went from answering phones to tech support to sales and marketing to president of the organization. What his unconventional path has given him is a unique perspective and passion for humanizing technology. From the people he hires to the people he serves, he's inspired by understanding what each person needs to make his or her life better and easier. Technology is simply a vehicle to solve human problems.
