Putting it in writing: Microsoft begins setting Dynamics CRM Online Fall 2013 upgrade dates

Jerry Weinstock of CRM Innovation shares an important observation: Microsoft has started posting notifications to  Dynamics CRM Online customers about their Orion, a.k.a. CRM Online Fall '13, update dates.

Dates are in the expected range of October 2013, with the example Weinstock shared at October 20 plus a secondary update, which is used if the primary date is missed, on November 3.

Weinstock, a Dynamics CRM MVP, sees this date setting as a
good sign in the CRM team's progress:

"I am pretty impressed with the Product Team that they are willing to go out on a ‘limb' and provide 90 day advance notification tied down to a specific day. They must have the new product version pretty well figured out! This gives us plenty of time to start planning for the new user experience."

Dynamics CRM professionals tell us there are still plenty of
questions to be answered by Microsoft about the upcoming release, from the details
of the licensing changes
to details on upgrading customizations to ISV readiness and more. There is a major partner readiness push planned in the very near future, so expect more reaction coming from the CRM partner community soon.
