Nille, a discount retail chain in Norway, has selected LS Nav, a retail store application developed as its new software system for 360 stores and 530 point of sale terminals.

LS Retail, the maker of LS Nav, awarded its partner CGI Norway, part of CGI Group Inc., the implementation and service contract. CGI will implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV, LS Nav, as well as software by LS Retail to manage inventory on mobile devices, according to officials of the companies.

Implementation is expected to take 12 months, with the go-live of the first store set for May 2018. The full rollout is scheduled to be completed by September 2018.

Nille, a Norwegian discount retail chain, sells a variety of seasonal and other items, such candles, home interior products and products for holidays, including Easter, Halloween, Christmas, as well as birthdays. LS Retail is a provider of software solutions based on Microsoft technology, and purports to be Microsoft's largest independent software vendor within retail and hospitality.

"This agreement marks the second major deal between CGI and a major retail player on the implementation of LS Retail products within a short period of time," said Magnus Norddahl, CEO and president of LS Retail, in the statement. Recently, CGI signed a large contract with NMD, the Norwegian pharmacy company running the Vitusapotek and DittApotek chains.

"This fine collaboration started with a partner agreement in early 2017, and it is already proving its worth for us in the Norwegian market," he stated. "This collaboration is on the back of a long-standing partnership with CGI in other Nordic countries."
