Microsoft Dynamics Profile: Driving To Greater Agility, Better Insights with GP

Southeastern Freight Lines is used to excellence; in fact its motto is "Quality Without Question." The Lexington, South Carolina-based provider of less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation services has been named Lowe's LTL Carrier of the Year for eight years running and has won BASF's "Supplier of the Year LTL Award" for three of the last five years.

The company manages its complex financial and logistical operations using Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2, and in turn, senior financial systems analyst Shawn Dorward manages Dynamics GP. He is responsible for training, security, maintenance, administration, and support for all Dynamics GP users at SEFL. He also manages implementations and upgrades throughout the organization relating to Dynamics GP and has become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for Dynamics GP.

On top of those bona fides, Dorward is a Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG) All Star, a member of the GPUG Advisory Board, and a presenter at multiple sessions at October's GPUG Summit 2015. Dorward tells us why Dynamics GP suits his company's complex operations and how SEFL gets the most from GP's capabilities.  He also shares how he gained expertise in Dynamics GP and shares it with the GPUG community.
