3 Tips to Achieve Selling Success on eBay with Microsoft Dynamics ERP or RMS

That's how many active users there are on eBay according to its Corporate Fact Sheet: Q1 2013.  For manufacturers, wholesalers or retailers that want to increase revenue through new product sales, eBay sounds like a great sales channel.  And as Mark Hayes of Shopify, an eCommerce solution provider, explains, it's also a great way to acquire new customers. With the type of exposure marketplaces offer, sellers can gather data on a large number of new buyers and encourage repeat business through great service and targeted marketing activities.

However, the article also warns that sellers on online marketplaces must be cautious. Factors outside of core selling activities, such as marketplace fees and the efficiency of your sales processes, can often be the difference between failure and success. If you are using one of the robust business applications that Microsoft offers like Dynamics AX, GP, SL, NAV or RMS, you are poised for success, but you must be prepared to take advantage of the online marketplace's opportunities. Here are a few tips to consider before you even list your first product on eBay.

1. Research your opportunities

eBay offers tons of research on their website about what people are searching for, the latest trends (colors, brands, etc.) and which items are their top sellers.
