Zap Technology and timeXtender have teamed up to integrate Zap's business intelligence solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX with timeXtender's extract, transform and load (ETL) and data warehousing tool.

Part of the deal lets Zap deliver business intelligence solutions with embedded timeXtender technology, allowing Zap to provide solutions to the majority of AX customers with pure Microsoft technology investments as well as to customers with investments in other data sources that are not Microsoft, according to the companies.

The companies expect that combination of a Zap business intelligence solution and a complete timeXtender corporate edition will broaden their ability to meet all the business intelligence requirements for Dynamics AX for mid-size companies as well as larger enterprises.

Initially the companies will focus on the North American Dynamics AX market, followed by global markets.

"Customers and partners in the AX ecosystem are looking for leadership in business intelligence and require solutions that deliver all aspects of their requirements from managing AX SQL data, other source data, presenting results and distribution of intelligent outputs," said Zap's CEO Garth Laird in a statement.

"Additionally it provides us with a solid partner and excellent option for the presentation of Business Intelligence output as we continue to move more strategically into the Enterprise segment of the market," timeXtender spokesperson Heine Krog Iversen said in the statement. "The agreement is a critical factor in increasing our partners' revenue, providing our customers with the very best solutions and driving our mutual growth and success."
