Workflow efficiency through app integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Flow

The rise of software as a service (SaaS) to manage critical business processes has had a profound impact in the sales, customer support and marketing departments. But as much as we all like platforms like SendGrid, SurveyMonkey, Mailchimp, Freshdesk, Zendesk, Twilio, and others that solve individual problems, in certain situations they will need to interact as part of larger processes inside an organization.

Today almost every commercial SaaS product has APIs that facilitate an integration with just about any other SaaS platform, and the proliferation of integration marketplaces has enabled direct connectivity with third party applications and services through easy-to-setup configurations.

Early integration options like Zapier and IFTTT continue to grow, and Microsoft has also entered this space with Flow, a cloud-based platform that integrates services and automates business processes. Flow launched two years ago and this spring introduced some new features that enabled PowerApps to exchange and test data with less effort.

Businesses are demanding real time information synchronization for more scenarios than ever before. They want to avoid the “back and forth” or “copy paste” of data from one system to another. Organizations understand that it is crucial to have the latest information for decision making, that way each team and individual can have a positive impact on performance.
