Sonoma Partners is releasing a free add-on tool for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, dubbed Universal Search, to enhance search functionality and improve productivity.

Universal Search allows users to view search results from multiple entities with a single search, rather than searching each on individually. The tool supports Dynamics CRM 2011 Online and on-premise. You can also view a brief demo here.

Universal Search lets Dynamics CRM administrators configure which entities are searched, which attributes to search by and what information is displayed. The tool is located in the ribbon of Microsoft Dynamics 2011 and is available to users at any time within the system, officials said

"We developed Universal Search to create a convenient way for Microsoft Dynamics CRM users to greatly streamline the experience of searching for records, even if they don't know what type of record it is," said Mike Snyder, principal of Sonoma Partners, in a statement. "With this free add-on, we hope to enable Dynamics CRM users to utilize their on-premise or online deployment to the fullest."

Universal Search from Sonoma Partners is available on Microsoft PinPoint.
