Onvia, a provider of business-to-government (B2G) commerce intelligence, has announced that it now integrates with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Onvia has built a single-click send-to-CRM feature that allows Dynamics CRM customers to respond to government sales leads (in the form of bids and requests-for-proposals or RFPs) more quickly and efficiently, according to company officials. Users can avoid manual data entry by mapping leads from Onvia to any CRM object.

Onvia's integration with Dynamics CRM lets customers send important project data, documents and contact information directly from the platform, with a single click. CRM users then have all the lead data they need accessible in one system, so they can focus their time on pursuing more government business, according to the company.

The integration with Dynamics CRM lets sales teams respond to the newest leads as soon as they are received. Additionally, they can manage the leads directly from within Dynamics CRM and track win-rates from Onvia sourced leads, according to officials.

Government procurement is a legendarily drawn-out and complex process (see the diagram, from the US Federal Government, outlining its procurement process). The architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C industry) recognizes as a best practice responding early to bids and RFPs; but it too struggles to streamline the intensive in-house workflows around government procurement.
