Dynamics GP folder path incorrect when using Create Installation Package utility

Writing on his Dynamics Code Block blog, Tim Wappat pointed out that the location for the default installation package for Dynamics GP releases after GP 2018 moved to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP.

Previously it was in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2018, where the GP2018 was replaced with the version of GP. As the versions are no longer linked to years this was dropped as a folder naming pattern.

However, it appears that the Create Installation Package utility on the GP installation media main menu missed the memo about the folder change, Wappat noted. The Create Installation Package utility actually introduced a bug and since the change it installs the application into the wrong folder.

But all is not lost as Wappat said he stumbled on a workaround for the issue, which he detailed in his post.
