Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Talent

Microsoft has promised to deliver Dynamics 365 for Talent as a modular set of apps based around core HCM capabilities, and the company continues that approach with the technical preview of "Gauge", a new online skills assessment service for use in the recruiting process.

Gauge, when released, will join apps like Attract, Engage, Onboard, and Perform. The apps will all be available to use in combination with Talent's core HCM tools.

Gauge is available as a standalone service for now, but it will become an interoperable part of the Talent suite, writes Microsoft's Lorrisa Horton:

Soon you'll be able to plug Project: "Gauge" into other Dynamics 365 for Talent Apps. For example, you can seamlessly integrate Gauge with Attract by adding an assessment activity into your recruiting process.

With Gauge, hiring managers can create tests that can help pre-screen candidates. Question sets have a range of options, such as question types, whether they are timed, manually or automatic scoring, and how they are attached to different recruiting projects. The assessments are also designed to adapt to mobile or laptop interfaces.
