Microsoft announced a new slate of copilot capabilities for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management this week. Now available in public preview, customers will get new ways to predict demand with AI and machine learning tools. Additionally, new copilot capabilities will help procurement teams handle purchase orders.

Microsoft will also be ending its preview of Microsoft Supply Chain Center effective on October 31, mainstreaming many of those capabilities to Power Platform.

The demand planning feature's AI-powered forecast model automatically picks the ideal algorithms and parameters for different products, simulating the impact of different forecast models. Customers are also able to link up their own ML models custom-built for business needs.

Microsoft shared the example of Domino’s Pizza UK and Ireland, which is using AI to streamline its operations. Existing manual processes such as spreadsheets did not give Domino’s sufficient insight, prompting it to adopt daily forecasts. Domino’s is now able to filter and slice forecasts, aggregating and disaggregating data as needed.
