HighJump acquires EDI vendor RedTail Solutions

Supply chain network solutions provider HighJump, announced today that it has acquired RedTail Solution, Inc., a US-based EDI and global data synchronization network (GDSN) vendor.   

RedTail will fit into HighJump's TrueCommerce division in North America, the company says. RedTail has a strong presence in both the Microsoft Dynamics and Sage ecosystems. Its offerings include AccountMate, Infor VISUAL, Sage BusinessVision Accounting and GDSN services.

"TrueCommerce has grown to a nearly $70M dollar network business by focusing on the needs of both retailers and their suppliers. RedTail complements that market strategy with the addition of new integrations and services as well strengthening TrueCommerce's market leadership position in the Microsoft Dynamics and Sage segments," HighJump said in a statement.

TrueCommerce offered some guidance on what the acquisition means for customers and RedTail as a company. For example, there are no immediate plans to rename RedTail Solutions, Inc., though eventually RedTail Solutions will be branded under HighJump's global network business brand, TrueCommerce. There are no immediate plans to shift RedTail's strategy or focus, and there is no immediate organizational change planned, though RedTail operations will be integrated into TrueCommerce operations.

"Combining forces with RedTail is consistent with our strategy to identify and bring new approaches to omni-channel enablement," said Nick Manolis, President of TrueCommerce in a statement. "Bringing on the RedTail portfolio strengthens our capabilities to help our customers connect anywhere and integrate everywhere.  I am confident that RedTail customers will greatly benefit from our combined solutions portfolio."
