Business applications company Fusion5 has announced that it has acquired the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and SharePoint practices of New Zealand-based Microsoft Gold Partner, Koorb Consulting.

In October 2015, Koorb sold its Dynamics AX and business intelligence practices to UXC Eclipse. At that time, the company stated it would focus on the CRM and SharePoint practices that it has now sold to Fusion5.

One of the three top Dynamics CRM partners in New Zealand, Koorb comprises close to 30 people, and more than 80 customers including AUT, Barnardos, Farmlands, Ballance Agri-Nutrients, Independent Liquor and Lincoln University, according to officials of the companies. The company was recently part of a major electronic health records project for Plunket, the largest provider of free support services for the development, health and wellbeing of children under five in New Zealand. The project utillized a range of Microsoft cloud technology and devices, including Dynamics CRM Online.

"Our purchase of Koorb's CRM and SharePoint practices brings on board a range of significant and proven skills," said Rebecca Tohill, chief executive and founder of Fusion5 said in a statement. "We see huge opportunities to leverage this talent into our base of over 600 customers across New Zealand and Australia, many of whom have Dynamics CRM or are considering it. The acquisition also puts us well on the path to achieve our goal of $100M turnover."

As part of the deal, Koorb's Dynamics CRM and SharePoint consultants will relocate to Fusion5 branches in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Koorb's Dunedin office will be re-established as Fusion5's newest branch, officials said.
