BI and Reporting vendor PrecisionPoint names Andrew Mennie as new CEO

Business Intelligence (BI) software developer PrecisionPoint, announced last week that Andrew Mennie has joined the company as its new Chief Executive Officer. He takes over from Michael Evans, who will continue to work with Andrew to assist the transition.

Mennie has held previous VP and general manager roles at Moxie Software and eGain Communications.

BI and reporting remains a top challenge for the Microsoft Dynamics AX and NAV customers. Mennie told MSDynamicsWorld.com that the company's primary goals under his leadership include executing on the product roadmap plans and accelerating growth in the Dynamics channel globally.

Only a week into the new role, Mennie answered shared his views with us about leading the company and his outlook on the BI and reporting landscape.

MSDW: BI and Reporting is one of the most competitive segments of the Microsoft Dynamics channel. Are there any key opportunities you see to make PrecisionPoint stand out?

Andrew Mennie: Over the last 12 months, we have successfully targeted the financial reporting segment of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP channel by solving one of their greatest challenges; the management of the monthly close, consolidation and report cycle. This is a huge sector of the market.
